Dude, You're Pursuin' Other Opportunities!

Dell's channel MSP chief Dan Phillips, former CEO of Silverback until Dell acquired the MSP platform provider in summer 2007, moved on to "pursue other opportunities" in early April, Dell confirmed.

Mike Menegay, who joined the company with Dell's acquisition of Everdream, is now director of sales for the company's SAAS (software as a service) and MSP offerings for both the channel and Dell's direct sales team.

Channel chief Greg Davis told Channel Insider May 1 that the company's certified MSP partners now number at around 75. Phillips told Channel Insider that Silverback had 150 partners before the acquisition.
